I’ve had my feel with dealing with ignorant people. In my day to day work I am surrounding by yes men and yes women who are use to doing what they are told and exactly what they are told (at least when the boss is around). I have a real problem with people who have no initiative and can’t open their mind to the spirit of the law, or spirit of a rule. I constantly find myself dealing with people doing stupid things in stupid ways and using the excuse of that’s what I was told.

Can’t people open their mind and think about the reasons why we are suppose to do things a certain way. Generally it is a specific end result that is desired, and sometime you have to adapt or adjust a way of doing something to get the intended result. Wake up people, think a little bit, even just a little.

I came across this article at an adult news site talking about recent scientific studies showing that exercise will help men have better prostate health which leads to better, longer and more fulfilling sex. It is really quite funny. Think about it. As noted in the article, exercise can help prevent heart disease, memory loss, and even colon cancer. I beleive these benefits have been known for some time, yet how many men are rigorisly trying to exercise regularly? I do however believe if it becomes common knowledge that men who exercise get better hard ons and perform better in bed, then there will be many more men finding a way to get some more exercise in thier lives.

Of course I would sweeten the pot if I found that regular exercise would bring about more stamina and harder erections, I would offer an anonymous menage a trois to my lover for keeping an exercise regimen going, that would definitely keep him at the gym more often. Now if we can only get more women to make this offer, the country would have better fit men, and more sex. Time to look into a membership at the local swingers club now, what a great idea!

This is the strangest news article I have seen all month. It throws me for aloupe.. I have no idea what to think about it. At first I think of people trying to scam the system and getting multiple payouts for not aborting, even if they had no intention of getting an abortion in the first place.. I also think about how some desperate people may even consider getting pregnant in order to get money this way.

I have friends who say they have lived in area where people just had more and more babies in order to qualify for additional monies both from baby daddies and government programs, so I think of that.

The fact that the article mentions a law tha tprohibits the selling of babies brings more questions to mind. I would hope this article may spur some additional discussions about economics. It is truly sad to think that people could be swayed into bringing new babies into the world for surch a small amount of money, and the fact that such a small amount of money may actually get people to consider making babies for adoption is even more sad. When will we all stand up and say enough is enough. Why we spend billions on some things and yet teachers, babysitters and moms have such little opportunity for a lifestyle that gives them the liberty to make choices that are not overruled by finance.

The article from Reuters:

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas (Reuters) – A Texas legislator has proposed that pregnant women considering abortion be offered $500 not to end their pregnancies.

Republican State Sen. Dan Patrick, who also is a conservative radio talk show host, said on Friday the money might convince the women to go ahead and have babies, then give them up for adoption.

He said during a legislative conference in New Braunfels, 45 miles south of Austin, there were 75,000 abortions in Texas last year.

“If this incentive would give pause and change the mind of 5 percent of those woman, that’s 3,000 lives. That’s almost as many people as we’ve lost in Iraq,” Patrick said.

Patrick has filed legislation to make the payment state law, but the legislature has not yet voted on it.

His proposal calls for giving any woman going to an abortion clinic the $500 option, to be paid no more than 30 days after the baby is born and given up for adoption.

Critics say the proposal would violate Texas and federal laws against buying babies, which Patrick rejected as “the typical ridiculous criticism.”

Heather Paffe, political director of Planned Parenthood of Texas, said Patrick’s proposal “is very cynical and insulting to women and their families.”

“It’s insulting to think women would make that kind of decision so easily,” she said.”

Wow! what a story and the real wow is in the details..

from the Chicago Sun Times -

A New York hospital plans to offer the nation’s first uterus transplants to enable women who lack a womb because of cancer treatment or other problems to bear children.

The wombs would come from just-deceased donors. Once a uterus is transplanted, it would be removed after the recipient gives birth so she would not have to continue to take anti-rejection drugs.

Okay so the possiblity of a womb transplant is very cool, if I ever needed or wanted one it is good to know of the possibility. Not needing one right now, the details of getting a transplanted uterus froma corpse is kinds spooky.. but at least they can just take it out after 9 months!

I guess now not only do we not need a man, or even have sex to get pregnant, it seems you don’t need a functioning utures anymore as well. It’s almost as if you don’t need people. I think even if you could hatch a baby without a human I would still want a surrogate human before a surrogate machine or lab.
I read somewhere yesterday that the word’s first test tube baby (now a mature adult) had a child. -wild.

Came across this really well designed website about a group of Dentists in Nashville and I wanted to feature their website Dentistry of Nashville because it has everything you would expect from a great Dentist web site and more. A great use of Flash in the top right hand corner that fades in out with great pictures, with a section on meeting the doctors and another section dedicated to this great looking team of individuals showcasing each one of them individually with their own special talents. They offer this great new type of work called Sleep Dentistry for people like me who fear the needles and drills. I know one of the gals that work there and I only found out after mentioning to her that she has a great set of teeth. She told me she got her great grill from the dentistry of Nashville. There is at least one great smile I can attest for.

Feminists for Free Expression (FFE) is a group of diverse feminists working to preserve the individual’s right to see, hear and produce materials of her choice without the intervention of the state “for her own good.”

FFE believes freedom of expression is especially important for women’s rights. While messages reflecting sexism pervade our culture in many forms, sexual and nonsexual, suppression of such material will neither reduce harm to women nor further women’s goals.

Feminists for Free Expression, a not-for-profit organization, was founded in January 1992 in response to the many efforts to solve society’s problems by book, movie or music banning. FFE believes such efforts divert attention from the substantive causes of social ills and offer a cosmetic, dangerous “quick fix.”
